Terms and Conditions
- This giveaway will run concurrently on @shangrilasydney Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. However, this is one single competition with one prize. All entrants across all platforms will be pooled together, and one winner will be randomly selected.
- This competition is organised and hosted by Shangri-La Sydney. By participating in this competition, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The voucher and/or value of the experience cannot be redeemed for cash or any other product or service.
- The voucher is non-refundable and is not exchangeable for cash in part or in whole.
- Voucher is applicable for single usage only; unutilised value will not be refunded or stored for future credit.
- The winning recipient (one person only) will receive a voucher for an overnight stay (one night only) for two adults in an Executive Sydney Harbour Room during Vivid Sydney 2024, starting from AUD 470. The voucher is subject to all terms and conditions, including blackout dates.
- Blackout dates apply. Weekends excluded. Only valid Sunday – Thursday.
- Voucher only valid from 24/05/2024 until 14/06/2024. The period of validity cannot be extended.
- Accommodation is strictly subject to availability, and may sell out at any time without prior warning. Advance notice and prior reservation is required. Please contact (61 2) 9250 6000 to redeem.
- Shangri-La Sydney is not responsible if the named prize winner is unable to stay within the set time frame, inclusive of blackout dates.
- The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, discounts, privileges or gift certificates.
- Any amount exceeding the value of the gift certificate will be settled by cash or credit card and is the responsibility of the named prize winner.
- The voucher/prize cannot be sold to another party and is non-transferrable. The voucher cannot be redeemed by anyone other than the named competition winner. There will be no re-allocation of the prize if the selected competition winner fails to redeem the prize.
- The guest will be responsible for any additional costs incurred during their experience, including but not limited to: international calls, movie purchases, in-room dining, valet parking, tips, additional alcohol or sides.
- All taxes which may be payable as a consequence of receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of each winner.
- You must be following @shangrilasydney on Instagram, Facebook and/or TikTok and have liked and commented on the Vivid 2024 giveaway post shared on 16/05/2024 to be eligible to win.
- The competition is open to residents of Australia only, aged 18 years and over, excluding Shangri-La Sydney employees and their immediate families.
- Shangri-La Sydney is not responsible for any costs associated with travel to and from the hotel to redeem the experience.
- The giveaway is in no way affiliated, sponsored, endorsed or administered by or in association with Instagram, Facebook (META) or TikTok.
- By participating in this giveaway, entrants release Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok from any responsibility and agree to their terms of use.
- Participants must be over 18 years of age to enter.
- The giveaway competition ends on 20 May 2024 at 09:00 AM AEDT and the winner will be randomly selected on 20 May 2024 and will be contacted by @shangrilasydney’s official platform they entered on (please be aware of fake profiles) with instructions on how to claim the prize. Shangri-La Sydney reserves the right to request each winner to provide proof of their identity and/or their eligibility to participate in the competition.
- Subject to applicable laws, Shangri-La Sydney reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition, mechanics of the competition, or these terms from time to time by written notice through the @shangrilasydney official Instagram, Facebook an/or TikTok page.
- Shangri-La Sydney’s decision on all matters relating to the competition will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained. Shangri-La Sydney reserves the right to disqualify any participants who fail or are reasonably suspected to have failed to comply with these terms and conditions or who are not or are reasonable suspected to not be eligible to participate in the competition.
- The original gift certificate will be required to be presented to the Front Desk upon check in and before utilisation of services. Photocopies, damaged or altered certificates will not be accepted.
- The gift certificate and its value are not replaceable if lost.
- The terms and conditions set out in generic T&C page shall also apply to this competition and form part of these terms and conditions. Any collection, use and disclosure of participants’ personal data will be strictly in accordance with Shangri-La Sydney’s Privacy Policy (available at the aforesaid link).
- Any personal information provided as part of this giveaway will be used solely for the purpose of administering the giveaway and will not be shared with third parties without the entrant's consent.
